Following the success of Galaxy Grand, Samsung is confident in outshining the mega-phablet category by selling 1 million units of Galaxy Mega 5.8 per month. This ambition of the Korean conglomerate got revealed by DigiTimes report that Samsung placed an order to Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) and Giantplus Technology for an astounding number of 1 Million LCD panels for the device.

The panel shipment will begin between May and June, that’s the same time when the device is expected to hit the store. Just for context, these display panels are not using AMOLED technology as it’s a mid-ranged device. The display panels will most probably make use of LCD or PLS, which as evident from the orders above, won’t be made by Samsung themselves.

This confidence by Samsung indicates that they’re taking the release of their new Mega series very seriously. This is actually a positive news for prospective buyers as they would be getting catered by Samsung in terms of software updates other and features when they use it.
