RIM’s latest Blackberry Q10 is the latest smartphone that went on sale in UK on Monday. According to the CEO Thorsten Heins, the company is expecting the sales to be in tens of millions of units worldwide. The initial sales of the device in UK appears to be high as a number of retailers face stock outs. Since the launch of Blackberry Q10, the shares of the company sparked and rose by almost 3.9 percent in New York.

During an interview with Bloomberg, Heins said,

“This is going into the installed base of more than 70 million BlackBerry users so we have quite some expectations. We expect several tens of million of units.”

RIM’s latest Blackberry 10 might be the game changer for the company or at least this is what the company thinks it might be. The company who lost a majority of its user base to Apple and Samsung believes that with the launch of the devices like Q10, the company has a chance to get back in the Smartphone market and gain the share it deserves.
