The possibility of Apple releasing a cheaper version of iPhone has caused a quite a stir in terms of rumors and speculations. From seeing its concept designs to hearing murmurs regarding its specs and looking at its leaked rear casing; the existence of the phone is becoming more evident even though there hasn’t been any official confirmation by the Fruit Giant.

Today, a reliable parts supplier that goes by the name eTrade Supply, claims to have some solid sources in the Apple supply chain, that were able to confirm that Apple indeed will be releasing lower-end iPhone models this year.

According to ETrade Supply:

We just heard “on the wind” confirmation that Apple will in fact be releasing lower end models. This is not the game changing move that we are used to from Apple which had kept them on top for so many years.

There have been plethora of rumors surfaced before regarding the mid-ranged iPhone device, but today’s publication carries a lot of weight in a sense that the parts and repair shop has a good track record of solid leaks. To name a few, just last year, it leaked accurate photos of the iPad mini display panel, as well as the iPhone 5 front and back panel.

It’s not have been Apple’s style to provide low-priced devices till now, but seeing the potential that the mid-ranged devices have in market, it might not be a bad move for the Cupertino giant to go ahead with this proposition. Do you like the idea of lower-end iPhone?
