Just yesterday, we saw images of the alleged Galaxy S4 Active for the first time and today the device has shown up in a short video that briefly highlights the Galaxy S4 Active. Just like shown in the images yesterday, the rugged variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 sports physical buttons, and has a slightly different design with its red back casing.
Whereas the specs are concerned, it had been rumored before that Galaxy S4 Active would feature a Snapdragon S4 CPU and the yesterday’s leaked image also indicated towards a 1.9 GHz quad-core CPU coupled with Adreno 320 GPU. But all that contradicts with today’s leaked video, which suggests that the rugged Galaxy S4 smartphone would feature a Dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor.
What ironic about this discovery is that according to Qualcomm’s official S4 specs sheet, the S4 PLUS SoC is capable of supporting GPU up to Adreno 305 only, so it means that the Adreno 320 GPU we say yesterday in the images concurs with today’s video. The odd thing is that the device that appeared on video today is most probably the same device of which we saw pictures yesterday, but the specs differ by a huge margin.
The alleged specs of the device are getting fuzzier day by day; hopefully Samsung would save us from this rumor-mill misery by announcing the Galaxy S4 Active soon. Are you looking forward for the official announcement of the device?
