The Google edition of Galaxy S4 was announced at I/O developer event last week, but the Search didn’t reveal much aside from the fact that pure Android version of Galaxy S4 would offer 16GB of storage, LTE support for AT&T and T-Mobile and would come with an unlocked bootloader.

However, the Galaxy S4 Google Edition has been apparently spotted receiving Bluetooth 4.0 certification at the Bluetooth SIG. Apparently SIG tell us that the device would come under the model number GT-I9505G, which is quite similar to the GT-I9505 model number for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 version of the handset. Even though SIG doesn’t specify regarding the GT-I505G actually being the pure Google’s edition of Galaxy S4, the similar model number with a “G” most probably indicates it being the Google Edition.

Furthermore, the SIG also tells us that the GT-I9505G will have Bluetooth 4.0 support just like the other variants of Galaxy S4. At this moment however, the official name of the device is still unknown. The Galaxy S4 Google Edition will be available solely from the Google Play Store with a price-tag of $649 starting with June 26 and it will be only available in the U.S. for now.
