Rumored to get officially announced at the Samsung Premiere event taking place on 20th June, Galaxy S4 Mini quietly got revealed to the world today as Samsung announced the preliminary details surrounding the much anticipated miniature version of Galaxy S4.

Just like the leaked specs we saw yesterday, the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini sports a 4.3-inch qHD (960×540) SuperAMOLED display, 1.7GHz dual-core Krait 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, support for 64GB microSD card, 8 and 1.9 megapixel cameras and a 1,900mAh battery. The S4 mini measures 124.6 x 61.3 x 8.94mm, making the device significantly smaller than the 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm size of the Galaxy S4.

Now coming to the aniticipated Software features of GalaxyS4 Mini, the mini smartphone will pack much of the laundry list of features found in its larger sibling. For starters, the device will run on Android 4.2.2 with the latest version of TouchWiz which features like Shot&Sound, S Travel, Story Album, Group Play, ChatOn, Samsung Hub, Samsung Link, S Health, Adapt Display, Adapt Sound and much more.

However, the most prominent and advanced features found in Galaxy S4 have been omitted in S4 Mini, which includes Air View, Smart Scroll, Smart Pause and Smart Stay. The S4 Mini will be available in either white or black finishes, with 4G LTE, 3G, and 3G Dual Sim variants.

Whereas the most important question regarding the price-tag is concerned, unfortunately there’s no official indication of when the S4 Mini will launch, or how much the device will cost. Up till now, only one retailer based in UK, Phones4u,  has confirmed that it’ll offer the Galaxy S4 Mini “when it becomes available in the UK in July 2013.” Are you looking forward to buy this smartphone when it hit the shelves?
